Putting the "Personal" in Personal Finance

In this webinar we’ll explore strategies to let students tailor personal finance assignments and projects to their individual goals while still assessing skills and keeping grading time manageable. We’ll discover resources and lesson plans by the Federal Reserve of St. Louis that align with state standards including a demonstration of Econ Lowdown a free learning system that will allow you to monitor and record student progress.

Amanda Geiger is an Economic Education Specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Before joining the St. Louis Fed, Amanda was a Florida public high school teacher for over 12 years. She has also served as a reader and table leader for the College Board AP Macroeconomics exam. During her teaching career Amanda was known for her passion for economic education and project-based learning. She was recognized with a Regional Economic Educator and Leadership Award by the Florida Council on Economic Education and by her school site as a Teacher of the Year. Amanda has developed and implemented numerous workshops both locally and nationally to help others become more confident educators.
